She’s there. Ready now. Eager to end this. Too many years have gone by without retribution.DI Helena Stratton has another murder case right on the back of the last. Someone is out there killing randomly—or so it seems.Who is going around stabbing innocent people—and why? Will Helena’s nightmares stemming from the past ever go away?Four dead—it has to end, but there is nothing concrete to go on.Why can’t Helena find the lady in the street?
Well, we are back with Helena And Andy in the second book of the series.
I honestly thought nothing could beat the first one. I was wrong again, insanely wrong.
This book is extremely fast-paced, one minute I had started the next I was woken with the Kindle in my hand and I had read 50%. Also warning: don’t read in the dark alone.
Again DI Helena is called to the scene of a women felicity having been stabbed to death in her own house. Year’s earlier she has escaped from the trafficking ring in Lime-street. She never told anyone only her best friend who half-heartedly didn’t believe her because she had a reputation for lying as a teenager. She only had herself as her dad died in a lorry crash and her mum killed herself not long after. She was raised by her gran and unfortunately, her gran died leaving her house and everything she had to felicity.
Felicity lived in fear of ’them’ from the lime street coming back to get her as she had escaped and knew too much.
Later Den And Mark Simons were found dead from many many stabs wounds. And more victims.
Who is killing them? And Why?
It’s explosive, emotional, gruesome, and Terrifying. The murder is one f#@ked up sick weirdo and freaky and creepy as f#@k.
It was well written and a fabulous addition to this amazing series and collaboration. I really hope that they work on more books together as these books are certainly proving that both authors work really well together and come up with something different and extremely sick and twisted.
