My Review

Plot

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Oh secrets, oh there sure are secrets upon secrets coming out of the woodworks.

Grey Keiln, Unfortunately just lost his mother after losing his father years earlier. However, Just before she died, she fought with her last little bit of strength to mumble something to him about Inishbeg Cove in Ireland.

A couple of days later, Greg is sat in the solicitor’s office who happens to be a long-time family friend. The will is straight forward but this is not the reason for the meeting. The solicitor hands Greg a letter from his mother which was to be read in the event of her death.

This letter changed everything. Now struggling with who he is, where he belonged. Greg, a long time workaholic, decided to take a month holiday across the world to Inishbeg cove to find out the truth, find himself and where he belonged in the world.

Inishbeg Cove is a stunning, close-knit community with beautiful scenery and unpredictable weather. It is a place where you feel you belong.

Characters

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Grey Klien, American 40 years of age. Warm, Gentle, Quiet, lost soul and a kind gentleman at heart…

…Sarah, She is just a dream, someone who could be anyone’s friend. A calming, honest, caring and down to earth character. Sarah is a postmistress in the post office where 4 generations of her family have also worked. She helps everyone in any way, she can. This speaks volumes about the person Sarah is.

There were so many other interesting characters too.

Writing Style

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Izzy’s writing is absolutely stunning and flawless. She has a way with words which completely draws and immerses you straight in the characters and plot. She describes the setting so eloquently that you feel you are there, smelling, feeling like it’s playing 3D in your mind.

There were difficult topics in this book but Izzy wrote them absolutely beautiful.

Pacing

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

You are hooked from the very first chapter. She makes us dive straight into this book with a heartbreakingly but peaceful opening chapter. From then on, it is fast-paced. And you find yourself frantically flipping the pages.

Oh my, I don’t think I need to show you how absolutely beautiful this cover is. It absolutely stunning and really does show you the story.

Mini-Review

The secrets of Inishbeg Cove is a fast-paced, stunning, romantic comedy full of loss, love, hope and finding yourself. Unravelling shocking secrets and a sense of community set in a small west coast village in Ireland. superbly eloquently written. Perfect summer read indeed for romance fans.
