My Review

This is such a beautiful, interesting, heartwarming and sometimes heartbreaking story.

Tilly ( Matilda Parker) arrives in France two weeks before her marriage to Luke Crawford, but after a rather shocking and surprising accident she is happy to find that Joe, the person and his family who she met a couple years previous when in France trying to make sense of her broken relationship with Luke after finding out HE has cheated on her. Although the book Tilly is overwhelmed and confused with her upcoming marriage to Luke who she is no longer in love with and has found her soulmate and love of her life in Joe Harrison. There are many subplots woven into this story. Although it’s part of a set of books, I’m reading this a stand-alone never having read the previous books. And it works absolutely perfect, I don’t feel like I have missed out of anything from the previous books, but after reading this outstanding book I WILL be reading the three books which are already safety sat on my kindle ready to read.

I also loved it was set in France, it’s like it was a 3d film playing in my head, that’s how nd I especially loved the few French doted hear and there. Which made me look up so I’ve learnt a few French words\quotes.

Oh Tilly, Tilly and Tilly, I fucking love her. She is extraordinarily realistic. She is kind soul struck in what she thinks is an absolutely impossible situation, and caring about her friends and family so much she is prepared to whatever to make them all happy and not be a disappointment to them.

Joe he’s such a sweet, lovable and epic soul with a heart full of gold and goodness. Book boyfriend anyone?

Every other character is flawless, likeable and epically brilliant. Patricia definitely has the knack and a fantastic to draw such incredible, all-around likeable characters and brings them to life every step of the way. Each and every character has there own spotlight within this story. Even Lady Louise!

Writing Style

I love Patricia’s writing style, it just flows so exceptionally beautiful. She has a way with words which grabs you and pulls you in.

The pacing is perfect, not to fast and not too slow, with just the right amount of build-up, tension throughout. And it’s one of those books that sucks you in and doesn’t let go.

Oh my fucking God, when I was sent this cover I was left utterly speechless, It is sooooo beautiful. And it is completely perfect for the book in question.
