Another gripping instalment in the DI Sara Ramsey series from New York Times and USA Today bestselling author M. A. Comley who has sold over three millions copies world wide since publishing her Justice series.

He had no choice...

The justice system has failed him...

DI Sara Ramsey has yet another tough case to solve when a primary school teacher turns up murdered.

The murderer has an agenda and is crossing names off his list.

Not caring about the risks...he only has one thing in his sight... retribution.

Rating: 9 out of 10.
Rating Report

This is the eighth in the DI Sara Ramsey Series. It's one helluva series with each one getting better.

The plot is fascinating, and it's all systems go for Sara and her team to catch this killer as the body count continues to climb and the case

Linda strong is the first victim, Out on a night out with her friends she got a taxi home while informing her boyfriend by text she was okay and was on her way home. Once she exited the taxi she was immediately dragged into another car.

9 stars

Throughout there are conflicting feelings towards the killer, I must admit. It always makes me feel more uneasy when you have a small level of empathy towards a murderer. But as you get deeper into this book and the reasons in which why the killer did what he did it's quite clear to understand although nothing excuses murder.

DI Sara Ramsey and Carla are back and they are brilliant characters that just keep on developing more and more. And the past may always be slightly following Sara preventing her from having her full happy ending.

In this book, Sara and her team had differing opinions that didn't go down too well but it was interesting to witness the conflict.

There were other strong well-developed characters in this book which Mel has a knack for. A satisfying, strong, different, captivating and addictive character that is well developed and keep developing.

Writing Style/Pacing

A fast-paced thriller with a lot of action. This is told via DI Ramsey and from the killer's point of view. I must admit how the author wrote the scenes from the killers perspective was very unnerving frankly.

9 stars

As with all the series they are set in Hereford which Comley brings to life every time.

It's evident that the author did a whole host of research for the plot and theme. And it's a harrowing important subject but it is done effortlessly.

10 stars

A stunning cover by Emmy Ellis as always.
